Founded by Hammond Meredith and Jon Krashna, Sabot Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Charitable Trust created with one goal in mind: to support combat veterans and their transition to civilian life. To achieve that goal, the foundation supports our Veterans by inspiring life-long connections through participation in holistic activities through social, health and special activities.
In 2013, the VA released a study that covered suicides from 1999 to 2010, which showed that roughly 22 veterans were dying by suicide per day, or one every 65 minutes. The trauma that PTSD, CTE, TBI and other conditions imposed on veterans can often only be understood by those who have experienced it; the harrowing days and multiple deployments in support of operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Vietnam. Sabot reaches out to those who require assistance and provide opportunities to improve their quality of life in transitioning or sustaining a balanced lifestyle. The Foundation is dedicated to supporting veterans by inspiring life-long connections, participation in wholesome activities, fostering and utilizing holistic platforms to combat the effects of PTSD, CTE, TBI, educating the public about the impact of these conditions, and promoting camaraderie. Other Foundation activities include accountability meetings, outdoor events, and providing long-term support for job training and career building within the motion picture, television, and entertainment industries.
Sabot Foundation supports other foundations with similar goals, as well as educational institutions whose missions falls directly in line with our mission – not only to promote awareness but to make it actionable for veterans. Sabot Foundation has crested unique apparel and special edition merchandise where proceeds from specific items will aid the Foundation, we encourage visitors to help support our cause through these unique items. The Foundation also utilizes existing relationships with artists, musicians, public figures and the motor sports community in order to mix the genres together. This exclusive approach makes Sabot Foundation a leader in constructive social change with a unique angle in business, providing resources to veterans that will directly aid in their well-being.
