Sabot Foundation has sponsored and supported several events since 2017. It’s a strategy we employ that assists veterans with developing coping skills, identifying new influences to improve their quality of life, discovering new interests and fostering positive relationships. These events re-create a sense of cohesion and social support that’s often missing after military service ends. Nearly all of the participants are dealing with service-related conditions like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and physical disability. These events result in an increased appreciation of life and enhanced inner strength. Some of the events include:
- Sport Fishing – Florida , Lake Casitas and Folsom Lake
- Camping
- Sporting Events (Baseball, Football, and Drag Racing)
- Baja Off Road Racing Excursions – Mexico and Nevada
- SCUBA Diving along with Adaptive Diving Platforms for physically challenged veterans
- Participation with the Sabot Racing Team in Las Vegas, Tijuana and Baja Mexico as well as Pikes Peak and the Gumball 3000 Rally; Japan to Tokyo and Mykonos to Ibizia
- Constructive Outdoor events (water, snow, desert, get-togethers) in Florida, California, Nevada, Wyoming, Ohio, Tennessee, Honduras, Baja Mexico, and Japan
